​                  ​ရု​ရွား​ ​အီ​လက္​ထ​ေရာ​နစ္​ ​ဆက္​သြယ္​ေရး​ဌာ​န​က​ ​ရု​ရွား​နိုင္ငံ​သည္​ Spam​ Mail​​ မ်ား​ေၾကာင့္​ ​၂၀၀၉​ ​ခု​ႏွစ္​ ​တစ္​ခု​ထဲ​တြင္​ပင္​ ​ေဒၚ​လာ​ ​၄၆၂​ ​သန္း​ေက်ာ္​ ​ဆံုး​ရွံဳး​ခဲ့​ေၾကာင္း​ ​ေဖာ္​ျပ​ခဲ့​သည္​။​ ​ထို​ကာ​လ​ ​အ​တြင္း​တြင္​ပင္​ Spammer​​ မ်ား​သည္​ ​ေဒၚ​လာ​ ​၁၂၃​ သန္း​ေက်ာ္​ ​ရ​ရွိ​ခဲ့​ေၾကာင္း​လည္း​ ​သိ​ရ​သည္​။​ Spam​ Mail​ မ်ား​သည္​ ​ရု​ရွား​အင္​တာ​န​က္​ ​ေၾကာ္​ျငာ​စီး​ပြား​ေရး​ ​ေလာ​က​တြင္​ ​ပို့​ေပး​ေန​သည့္​ Mail​​ အ​ေရ​အ​တြက္​၏​ ​၂၀​ ​ရာ​ခိုင္​နႈန္း​မ်ွ​တြင္​ ​ပါ​ဝင္​ေန​ၿပီး​ Mail​ Account​​ တစ္​ခု​သို့​ ​ဝင္​ေရာက္​သ​မ်ွ​ Mail​ ​အား​လံုး​၏​ ​၇၀​ ​ရာ​ခိုင္​နႈန္း​မ်ွ​သည္​ Spam​ Mail​ မ်ား​ ​ျဖစ္​နိုင္​သည္​ဟု​လည္း​ ​ခန့္​မွန္း​ေဖာ္​ျပ​ထား​သည္​။

Russia charges accused spammer, allegedly raked in $120-million from e-mail barrages


Russia has opened a criminal case against a man accused of involvement in a major spamming operation flooding the Internet with advertisements for the anti-impotence drug Viagra, a top Russian daily reported on Wednesday.

The paper said the charges were unprecedented in Russia, a major centre for spammers, which is under pressure from Western partners to clamp down on abuse of the Internet.

Moscow police on Tuesday raided the home of Igor Gusev who is accused of illegally operating a spam network that helped earn his partner company $120-million, the Kommersant daily reported, citing investigator Yevdokia Utenkova.

Mr. Gusev's lawyer, Vadim Kolosov, confirmed a criminal case had been opened against his client, but said he was innocent.

"He has no relation to these activities," Mr. Kolosov told Reuters by telephone. He said Mr. Gusev was currently out of the country and unavailable for comment.

Kommersant said Mr. Gusev is the general director of Despmedia, a partner of Glavmed.com, which investigators said had earned $120-million over the past three and a half years from medicine sales over the Internet.

Kommersant says Mr. Gusev is accused of using Glavmed to operate a business without registration.

A police spokeswoman representing the capital's central administrative district confirmed that a case had been opened against a major spammer, but declined to give any details.
